The Central Wales Explorer, having traversed that line headed by LMS Black 5 4-6-0's nos No. 45407 and 44871, is seen near Pont Sarn Crossing as it runs along the Ely valley into Cardiff on 3rd July 2010. On reaching Pengam Sidings, to the east of Cardiff, the two steam locomotives will come off the train which will then be returned to Nottingham under diesel power.
