A typical 'double-header' for holiday trains to the Yorkshire Coast in the 1950s. LMS Class 4MT 2-6-0 No. 43123 and LNER Class D49/4 4-4-0 No. 62740 'The Bedale', both from Selby shed, at the head of a heavy Summer Saturdays Only service from Sowerby Bridge to Butlins Holiday Camp at Filey. The photograph was taken as the pair passed the starting signal north of Flamborough on 18th July 1959.
