The newly built replica of No. LYD, a 2-6-2T Manning and Wardle for the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway prepares to depart from Dinas with a special train for the loco’s naming ceremony at Beddgelert on 11th September 2010 during the Welsh Highland Railway’s Superpower Weekend. The stock is a rake of vintage coaches from the Ffestiniog Railway. Note that the nameplate is covered for the outward trip down the line. Late in the day the loco continued to the current terminus at to Pont Croesor.
