Single 'Railcar' No 7900 'Iris' is seen on the Ecclesbourne Railway amongst a collection of other DMUs and rolling stock. This single unit was built at the British Rail works in Derby during 1954 and ended its days with B.R at the Railway Technical Centre at Derby. During its time at the RTC, it was equipped with radio surveillance equipment in connection with train-signalbox communications (RETB and NRN) and at that time it was painted red and blue. It is seen at Wirksworth station having been beautifully restored in its original guise on 15th August 2011.
