The highest open air cog railway in Europe. This is the Gornergrat Bahn (The Matterhorn Railway). Starting from the popular town of Zermatt in the depths of one of the valleys below, this cog railway rises to the hotel / restaurant / station complex at the summit of Mt. Gornergrat which is 3,089m (10,132ft) above sea level. Here at the summit station, Class Bhe 4/6 Set No:-3053 waits to ferry passengers back down to Zermatt.
