Within view of the Matterhorn & Gotthard Bahn terminus station, Zermatt's Gornergrat terminus currently houses Set Nos:-No. 3082 (nearest) and 3083 as they await the next load of passengers for the summit. Zermatt is quite a unique town. Petrol / diesel vehicles are banned from entering the town. All vehicles (bar the odd lorry or two) are electric vehicles, the vast majority of these looking like old milk floats from 40 years ago! Tasch, the last town up the valley before Zermatt is full of multi-storey car parks for the vehicles of the 21st Century. The Tasch - Zermatt train shuttles being the most popular way of reaching Zermatt.
