Refurbished Class 50 No. 50011 Centurion is pictured passing Moira West Junction, on the Knighton Junction (Leicester) to Leicester Junction (Burton-on-Trent) freight line on Sunday 5th June 1983. The locomotive, the first of the class to traverse this section of railway line, was in charge of a return F & W Railtours charter train The Coalville Collier to Plymouth. The Class 50 took over the special at Coalville having earlier in the day running light engine from Knighton Junction to enable it to be an exhibit at the Coalville Depot open day, while the tour train went forward to Toton and back to Coalville with a pair of Class 20s.
