GB Railfreight Class 66/7 No. 66716 Locomotive & Carriage Institution Centenary 1911-2011 is pictured cautiously approaching a red signal at North Stafford Junction, Derbyshire on 6th November 2012 while in-charge of working 6L28, from Carlisle to Whitemoor Yard. The train comprising a mixture of Network Rail wagons conveying spent ballast is seen approaching the junction from the North Staffs route via Stoke-on-Trent and Uttoxeter before it proceeded along the short distance of the Birmingham to Derby railway line prior to diverging onto the freight-only route via Castle Donington at Stenson Junction as it headed in an easterly direction towards its destination.
