This was the scene at York on Tuesday morning 27th November 2012 as a TransPennine Express Class 185 crosses Scarborough Bridge over a flooded River Ouse, with a Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street service. East Coast services were seriously disrupted on the previous two days due to flooding south of Darlington and problems with the river bridge north of Doncaster. Two of the worst affected East Coast services on 26th November were the 17:00 from Edinburgh and the 14:50 from Aberdeen, both reported over 3 hours late through York.
