In mid-March 2013 King Class 4-6-0 6023 King Edward II was hired for a series of charters by various charter organisers.
On Wednesday 20 March the charter was organised by Russ Hillier and operated in the changeable winter conditions then apertaining.
One of the images from the day shows 6023 racing through Quorn during a series of runpasts displaying a typical GWR train code.
