MR 4-4-0 4P Compound No. 1000, on loan from the NRM, is seen displayed at the Museum of Scottish Railways at Boness on 15th June 2013. Many who remember these fine locomotives, the only really successful UK compound, would give a high priority to see this example back in steam again.
