Class 56 No. 56001 stands at Bristol Bath Road parked with two-axle fuel tanks and Class 119 three-car No. B596 alongside on 7th September 1985. Built in Craiova, Romania in April 1976, it arrived at Harwich on 7th August 1976, but was not taken into stock at Tinsley until 28th February the following year. The grid was withdrawn on 18th September 1996 and cut up at Cardiff Depot by staff from M.R.J.Phillips of Llanelly in May 1997.
