Class 86/4 No. 86402 at Manchester Piccadilly buffers stops on 22nd February 1985. New as E3170 on 26th June 1965 after being built at the Vulcan Foundry and under TOPS became 86002 on 15th May 1973, then was renumbered to 86402 on 12th January 1985, to 86602 on 9th November 1989 and was put to store 5th May 2004. It was officially withdrawn at Crewe in January 2010 and cut up at Crewe LNWR by Sandbach Car & Commercial Dismantlers the same month.
