During the weekend of 18/19th October a temporary footbridge was installed at Stoke Gifford East junction as part of the GWML electrification project. It is understood that the former three arched brick bridge gave insufficient clearance for the OHLE equipment to pass under. Powering under the aforementioned temporary footbridge, Freightliner Class 70 No. 70001 'Powerhaull' wheels a lengthy Wentloog-Southampton liner which is seen departing Stoke Gifford up loop. It is just possible to see the original bridge abutments through the exhaust's heat haze on 22nd October 2014.
