With the first passengers of the day, the Beamish Living Museum's replica Puffing Billy is prepared for its first run along the demonstration track on 31st August 2014. Originally built in 1825 by Robert Stephenson & Co of Newcastle, it was the first locomotive for the Stockton & Darlington Railway, with replica completed in 1975 for the railway's 150th anniversary.
