Virgin Trains East Coast Class 91 No. 91124, in full VTEC livery, approaches York tailing the 16:15 Newcastle to London King's Cross service on 29th March 2015. The semi-elliptical end screens of the wrought-iron roof arches, featuring three curving bands of arched windows framed by slender glazing bars, have spans of 81 and 55 feet, are a truly majestic sight and a superb example of Victorian Railway architecture.
