NS Koploper units Nos. 4091 & 4237 are pictured on 19th December 2015 as they depart from Utrecht Central with a Rotterdam Central service. The name Koploper translates as head walker (i.e. walking through the head) and originally when these units were joined together, the doors at the end of the train would open out and a walkway would emerge, coupling with the other set and allowing passengers to walk through to the next set. However, since 31st October 2005 these were put out of use.
