Opened in 1903, the ten arch Cannington Viaduct Nr Uplyme, Devon, is all that remains of the Axminster to Lyme Regis branch line, which was closed in 1966. The imposing structure is now Grade 11 listed and has a distinctive look, due to an extra wall being added to the third arch when subsidence was discovered during construction. The drop in the line of the parapet wall at this end of the viaduct is clearly visible in this view, taken on 29th December 2015.
