MR Class 4F 0-6-0 No. 43924, displaying 'Pines Express' Headboard, pilots Guest Locomotive (courtesy of the Severn Valley Railway and Southern Locomotives Limited) SR Battle of Britain Class Pacific Pacific No. 34053 'Sir Keith Park', make a remarkable sight as they round the steep curve out of Keighley Station and begin their attack on the arduous and challenging 1 in 60 Keighley Bank gradient, working the late running 12:20 service from Keighley to Oxenhope, on a very dull and showery 7th October 2016, the first day of the KWVR Autumn Steam Spectacular. On its first-ever climb up Keighley Bank, 34053 struggled so much that it stopped twice and took over an hour to complete its scheduled 32 minute trip to Oxenhope, necessitating it being piloted throughout the remainder of the Gala.
