Still in old Scotrail livery, Northern Class 156 Metro-Cammell 'Super Sprinter' No. 156485 stands at its Platform 1 start-point, under the 1870's Passenger Footbridge at Hexham Station (which opened in 1835 and is one of the oldest railway stations in the world, built to link the lead mines of the North Pennines to the Tyne Docks at Blaydon) prior to working the 11:56 service to Newcastle on 14th September 2019.
