Returning to it's Sofia base, French built GEISMAR catenary inspection vehicle No.CM-021 passes the BZK stabling point at Iliyantsi Yard on 17th March 2023. Iliyantsi is now the preferred stabling point for the Class 87 electrics imported from the UK for use with the Bulgarian Railway Company (BZK). Present on this day were 87012, 87034 and 87019. The Romanian funded freight operator enjoys a substantial presence in the Bulgarian freight sector although sadly the Class 87 electrics appear to be used less and less as each year passes, often found working inside the larger and more comfortable Romanian Electroputere Class 40's of which 40-1001, 40-0817 and 400-906 are visible here.
