When the resident Sofia-based TTL Class 51 shunter No. 51-150 was replaced with the Czech-built Class T448.0 No. 51-522 the former was expected not to be completely retired from service but just used less often. But somewhat surprisingly in October another Class 51 arrived on the scene in the shape of 51-175, presumably to replace 51-150. Taking the salute during shunting duties on 16th October 2023 at Iliyantsi is the TTL-branded Ganz Mavag veteran. There is always a couple of comedians wherever you go, Bulgaria being no exception!.
