One of the happiest sights for any visitor to Woodham's Scrapyard was the departure of a locomotive for preservation. Although I visited the site dozens of times, only once did I see this happy event. Here, GWR 2-6-2T, No. 5532 departs from the scrapyard in 1981 on a low-loader. There doesn't seem to be much traffic to hold-up while the lorry manœuvres around the bend.
