GWR No. 5043 'The Earl of Mount Edgecombe' hauling The Red Rose on the 16th April 2011. Picture shows the locomotive as it exits the three miles long Standedge tunnel at Marsden. Note the Colne River which flows from the Pennine Hills and runs over the top of the railway tunnel entrance by way of an aquaduct. This was the first time a GWR 'Castle' locomotive had run on this ex L&YR main line.
