Built in 1885 by Black Hawthorn of Gateshead for Kettering Iron and Coal Company, Kettering Furnace No. 3 brought ironstone from the quarries to the Kettering Ironworks. It was presented to the National Trust in 1963 by the Kettering Iron and Coal Company and was displayed at Penrhyn Castle near Bangor, North Wales on 13th September 2012.
