Displayed at Penrhyn Castle near Bangor, North Wales on 13th September 2012 is the Padarn Railway Pedal Cycle. Built over 100 years ago by New Howe Co. of Glasgow, it was used by the Chief Engineer of Dinorwic Quarries for track inspections and for travel to and from his home. It was bought by the National Trust when the quarries closed in 1969.
