A very clean Class 20/9 No. 20906 'Kilmarnock 400' is stabled outside the Hunslet-Barclay Depot in Kilmarnock on Monday 27th July 1992. Converted from Class 20 No. 20219, originally No. D8319 dating from January 1968 No. 20906 had commenced working for Hunslet-Barclay in 1989. Named 'Georgina' on 30th September 1989, denamed on 6th May 1992 and renamed 'Kilmarnock 400' on 22nd June 1992 she travelled all over the BR system on Weed Control Trains in top and tail mode with one the other 5 Class 20/9s. No. 20906 was unique among the Hunslet-Barclay fleet in carrying her name 'Kilmarnock 400' mid bodyside rather than on the cab side as per the rest. Used by DRS from late 1998 to early 2005 No. 20906 passed to HNRC in February 2005. In March 2014 No. 20906 could be found at the LaFarge Cement Works at Hope, Derbyshire in an all white livery numbered 3.
