Peckett 0-6-0ST Mardy No. 1 Works No. 2150/54 at work in snowy conditions on 26th February 1973 at Mardy Colliery. Weighing 55 tons, the engine was regarded as one of the most powerful industrial engines ever produced in the UK with a tractive effort of 29,527lbs. The engine is now preserved on the Elsecar Heritage Railway.
