Class 47/4 No. 47546 waits at the country end of Glasgow Queen Street Station for a path up Cowlairs Bank for refuelling and servicing at Eastfield DMD on Good Friday 5th April 1985. New to Old Oak Common as Class 4 No. D1747 in July 1964 her first years were spent on the Western Region but after conversion to ETH and renumbering under TOPS in November 1974 she moved to York. A transfer to Glasgow Eastfield MPD followed during January 1978 and Scotland would remain her home until early 1990 with spells at both Eastfield and Inverness depots. At the time of this photo she was an Inverness loco and carried the Highland Stag motif of that Depot under her drivers window. Transferred to Crewe DMD in April 1990 she was allocated to the Departmental Sector and renumbered as a Class 47/9 No. 47976. Withdrawl took place in January 2000 and EWS Wigan CRDC undertook the scrapping of No. 47976 during April 2000.
