At Paris Gare-du-Nord Station on Sunday 19th February 1995 SNCF Class CC 40100 No. 40105 'Hyeres' is waiting a path to it's home Depot at La Chapelle Paris having previously worked in on a TEE service from Brussels. Alstrom built 10 of these electric locos for SNCF, all able to operate on French, Belgian, German and Dutch railway systems with No. 40105 being delivered in 1969. Replaced by Thalys TGV's in 1996 they were all subsequently withdrawn for scrap but 3 No. 40101, 40109 & 40110 have been preserved. A rubber tyred Metro train can be observed crossing the bridge over the Station throat on Route 4 in the top of the picture.
