Class 26 No. 26036 waits to depart light engine from Glasgow Queen Street Station on 8th April 1989. The West Highland 'Scottie' dog emblem on the bodyside shows its home Depot to be Glasgow Eastfield, just a mile up Cowlairs Bank from Queen Street Station. Delivered to Haymarket Depot, Edinburgh in August 1959 as Type 2 No. D5336 the vast majority of its life would be spent allocated to Inverness Depot, working services to the Far North and North West of Scotland as well as down to Central Scotland. Latterly transferred back to Inverness TMD withdrawl would take place during October 1993 with scrapping being undertaken by M C Metals, Glasgow in February 1995.
