Virgin Class 57 No.57313 Tracy Island stands at platform 12 of Crewe station on the evening of December 17, having dragged failed ATW liveried 57314, with Mk3 Sleeping car M10588 (presumably for brake force)from Cardiff. It is believed that 57314 had encountered traction motor problems. The afternoon loco hauled service was thus operated with 57315 leading, and 57316 in neutral blue livery at the rear. Shortly after the picture was taken, 57313 ran round and hauled the train away. I understand that the Mk3 M10588 was deposited at LNWR Crewe, and 57314 was moved to Longsight for attention.
