The days of any locomotive and a motley collection of coaches moving the masses to the sea on a Summer Saturday are long gone. Arriva Cross Country has sensibly reinstated some HSTs to operate its longer journeys and on 4 July 2009 an example is seen south of York, at Bolton Percy working the 07.00 Glasgow to Newquay.
