With the end of BR steam only weeks away, North British built LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No. 48191 is stabled between duties at Rose Grove MPD on 14th June 1968. New as LMS No. 8191 from Glasgow in May 1942 and first allocated to Crewe South (5B), it soldiered on to the end, being withdrawn in August 1968. The locomotive's disposal details are not known but it is thought that it was cut-up during December of that year.
