A pair of Patricroft BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0's No. 73134 (fitted with Caprotti valve gear) and No. 73069 at Stalybridge on 20th April 1968 with 1Z77, the 'North West Tour' which had originated at Birmingham New Street. The railtour was run by SVRS/MRTS and visited various places in the North West, including Buxton and Liverpool Lime Street. The pair had just coupled up and would head the Stalybridge - Copy Pit - Bolton leg of the journey. Other motive power used that day were No's. 45110, 44949, 48773, 92160, E3180 and E3093. 73134 was withdrawn two months later in June 1968 but No. 73069 survived until the end of BR steam in August of that year.
