BR Mark 1 SK No. 24894, in Sealink livery, at Glasgow Central Station on Monday 24th June 1985 waiting to depart with a boat train for Stranraer Harbour. 11 of these SK coaches were painted in this livery and along with 3 BSKs made up the two rakes of vehicles required for these services. Haulage would be a Class 47/4 loco as can be seen in the left side of the photo. In early 1987 the Class 156 Super Sprinters started to replace these loco hauled services and all the Sealink-liveried vrhicles had been withdrawn by July 1987. All 11 of the SK coaches were scrapped in the East End of Glasgow at yards in Camlachie and Shettleston. The subject of this photo SC24894 being dismantled at the Camlachie Yard by January 1988.
