Under the watchful gaze of York Minster, Wednesday 29th March 1978 finds an interesting selection of blue BR motive power of the era stabled at York. From left to right are Class 25/3 No. 25286, Class 47/4 No. 47422, Class 37/0 No. 37185 and No. 37079 and finally Class 45/0 No. 45006 'Honourable Artillery Company'. Unfortunately none of these locos survive today. No. 25286, by then renumbered as Class 25/9 No. 25905, being scrapped by M C Metals at Glasgow Works in November 1989 No. 47422 at C F Booths Rotherham in June 1993 No. 37185 also at C F Booths Rotherham during January 2006 No. 37079 at EMR Kingsbury during August 2008 although by then renumbered as Class 37/3 No. 37357 and finally No. 45006 was disposed of by Vic Berry at Leicester in October 1988.
