Class 47/4 No. 47546 in BR Large Logo blue livery with grey roof and carrying Inverness TMD Highland Rail symbols on the drivers cab side is seen at Glasgow Queen Street Station on Friday the 5th April 1985. The empty stock from her incoming train has been removed and she is slowly following down the platform to await a path up Cowlairs Bank for Eastfield TMD for servicing. Arriving in Scotland during January 1978 No. 47546 was initially based at Eastfield Depot Glasgow, transferring to Inverness TMD five months later in May 1978. Her stay north of the border lasted until 1990 when she was transferred to Crewe TMD being reclassified and renumbered as a Class 47/9 No. 47976 in June. Withdrawl came during January 2000 and she was dismantled at the EWS Wigan CRDC Depot in April 2000.
