As the light begins to fade and under the shadow of 'Sgurr na Coinnich', which at 2t is the highest peak of the Sleat Peninsula on Skye, Class 26 No. 26043 is stabled at Kyle of Lochalsh Station having worked in with the 17:55 from Inverness, the last service of the day. The station appears to be deserted apart from a couple of MacBrayne lorries and a fishing trawler. Taken on 21st September 1982 Class 26 No. 26043 would survive in traffic until withdrawn during January 1993 while still allocated to Inverness TMD. She was purchased for preservation and can now be found on the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway at Toddington.
