At the time when Swindon only had an island platform, two-tone green-liveried Brush Type 4 diesel electric No. 1600 waits to depart on 22nd July 1970 with a London Paddington - Swansea service. New from Crewe Works in June 1964 and first allocated to Landore (87E), it became No. 47472 under TOPS and named 'Confederation of British Industry'. It later became Railway Test Centre loco No. 97472. Withdrawn in April 1991, it was cut-up by MR Phillips at Old Oak Common during May 1997.
