Type 2 diesel electric No. D5125 waits for the signal at Dingwall Junction on 18th September 1971 with a morning freight for Kyle of Lochalsh. The white shed-like building to the right is in fact Dingwall North Signal Box, which replaced the original structure in 1963 when it was destroyed in a fire. New from Derby Works in July 1960 and first allocated to Inverness (60A), it became Class 24 No. 24125 under TOPS. The loco was withdrawn in March 1976 following a period in store and was cut up at Doncaster Works during July 1977.
