Class 20 No. 20128 'Guglielmo Marconi' in the BR Telecommunication grey livery is among the exhibits at the open day held in Basford Hall yard on Sunday 27th August 1995. Built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd at their Darlington Works in March 1963 as Type 1 No. D8050 she was renumbered under TOPS as Class 20 No. 20128 in the 1970's. Passed, along with 5 other Class members, to the BR Telecommunication Department in the early 1990s No. 20128 was named 'Guglielo Marconi' on 12th September 1994. However in 1998 another move took her to DRS where she was renumbered as a Class 20/3 No. 20307 who operated her until withdrawl in February 2013. No. 20307 was dismantled by C F Booth of Rotherham during May 2013. On the left of the picture the nose of sister Telecommunication loco No. 20075 'Sir William Cooke' can just be seen.
