An immaculate Class 90/1 No. 90135 'Crewe Basford Hall' takes pride of place at the open day held at Basford Hall Yard on Sunday 27th August 1995. Built in the BREL Works at Crewe and put into service during September 1989 from Crewe EMD as Class 90 No. 90035 she was renumbered as Class 90/1 No. 90135 in July 1991 as a result of being dedicated to freight traffic, having her maximum speed reduced to 75mph and the ETH supply isolated. Named 'Crewe Basford Hall' on 21st August 1994 Crewe EMD had done a great job in preparing her for this event. She was renumbered back to Class 90 No. 90035 in July 1999 and approaching 15 years later is still based at Crewe IEMD, now painted in EWS livery but operated by DB Schenker
