Regional Railways Scotrail-liveried Inspection Saloon No. DM45020 is propelled out of Glasgow Central Station on Tuesday 29th July 1986 by Class 27/0 No. 27051. Built in 1944 by the LMS at their Wolverton Carriage Works the vehicle was already over 40 years old by this time but would remain allocated to Scotrail until at least 1990. After the privatisation of BR Mo. 45020 passed into the ownership of the freight companies EWS and subsequently DB Schenker. Noted stored in the Toton Training Compound by January 2010 the vehicle was acquired for preservation in Autumn 2011 and moved back to Scotland where it can now be found at the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Society base at Dunaskin near Dalmellington, Ayrshire.
