Photographed from the train on a bitterly cold 3rd January 1970, EMI electric No. E26054 'Pluto' sweeps through Huddersfield Junction, Penistone, with a Manchester Piccadilly - Sheffield Victoria express. This was the final weekend of passenger services over the Woodhead route, the last trains running the following day on 4th January. The loco was new from Gorton Works in May 1953. It was named in April 1961 and later became Class 76 No. 76054 under TOPS. Withdrawn in July 1981, it was cut up by CF Booth of Rotherham during May 1983.
