Hydraulic front end detail. 'Warship' Class 42 No. 805 'Benbow' and 'Western' Class 52 No. D1059 'Western Empire' keep company at Laira MPD on 23rd August 1970. Strangely, the Warship had the longer service life of the two by 11 months, being new from Swindon Works in May 1959 and withdrawn during October 1972. D1059 was new from Crewe Works in April 1963 and survived until October 1975.
