Prior to the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway re-starting passenger services in 1994 they had started to assemble a collection of stock in redundant sidings at Princes Risborough. The station layout had been rationalised following the singling of the route onwards to Birmingham and the loss of the Oxford and Watlington branches. An unidentifiable Sentinel Y class steam shunter was involved in moving stock around in the station confines on 25th April 1992.
