The Class 232 diesels were a Soviet product supplied to DR before unification of Germany and its railway systems, and their styling contrasts markedly with the clean lines of DB locomotives. No. 232421-8 has arrived under the wires at Bebra from the non-electrified east and is preparing to return to Erfurt with a passenger service on 10th June 1993.
