Class 58 No. 58049 'Littleton Colliery' has rather more onlookers than normally expected for its return journey through Radley to the Midlands coalfields after discharging its cargo of 'black diamonds' on the coal drop at Didcot power station on 29th February 1992. The infilled bay platform to the right of the loco was used by passenger trains working the branch line to Abingdon which diverged from the main line beyond the rear of the train. Crossovers associated with branch-line working, notably of car trains from the MG works, are still in situ but presumably locked out of use.
